Singapore PM says the pandemic will continue for at least a year, with potential spikes once in a while. Economy is going to take a big hit, esp. travel, hospitality and gig economy. Social distancing is here to stay.

Also, Roche got an ok from FDA to use their installed high-throughput testing systems for COVID-19 detection.

Told you:
It is the so-called Deep State, the vast apparatus that runs the federal bureaucracy, that played a big role in botching the initial testing here.

These people are maliciously dumb because they willfully ignore cases like Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea where timely government efforts directed from the very top prevented massive healthcare disasters. One month ago, no Deep State could prevent Trump from ordering large scale COVID-19 test production. If he cared to do that.

No tests - no data; neither static, nor dynamic. No data means the vast majority of decisions taken and implemented today at all levels (personal, business, social, government, etc.) are going to look incredibly stupid, e.g. one year from now. Based on the size of the stimulus offered by the Fed, the one-time cost of a one-month delay in COVID-19 testing in the US is $1.5T so far.
