Most discussions about AI, especially AGI, suffer from what Whitehead would call the Fallacy of Misplaced Concreteness. That is, people assume that Intelligence is something concrete existing in Nature that can be easily pointed to and described. Instead, we have a broad range of definitions covering various bundles of human and/or computer capabilities.
By contrast, discussions about industrial robots, including drones and autonomous cars, are usually much more productive because their roles are well specified in terms of tasks and accomplishments.

This is my new meditation song. As the ancients believed, chanting prayers/poems in their original form, even if you don't understand them, carries a greater power than a translation.

У основателя стартапа (CEO), с которым мы работали с середины прошлого лета, обнаружили рак мозга второй степени. Сегодня ему сделали операцию по удалению опухоли. Вроде бы удачно. Вот так. Человеку нет и тридцати, но будет невероятной удачей, если он доживет до сорока.

Тем временем, стартап закрылся. Жалко, потому что идея была хорошая, но без основателя ее никто не сможет сделать, тем более, когда весь мир очумел, в прямом смысле этого слова.
