Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn denied to FBI agents in an interview last month that he had discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia with that country’s ambassador to the United States before President Trump took office, contradicting the contents of intercepted communications collected by intelligence agencies, current and former U.S. officials said.

The Jan. 24 interview potentially puts Flynn in legal jeopardy, as lying to FBI is a felony, but any decision to prosecute would ultimately lie with the Justice Department.

Meanwhile, Trump's approval rating among republicans is 84%, higher than that of Reagan or either of the Bushes. He is beating Putin's measly 82%. No wonder rednecks are so confident.

I don't think theyl'll be prosecuting Flynn; there's too much wiggle room on determining what "discussing sanctions" is.

Trump is promising to fulfill the long-awaited Republican agenda. We'll see how it goes. So far, the market keeps going up on expectations. Besides, he inherited a good economy with low inflation, which should help strengthen the expectations.
