timeletsIt's undeniable that the majority of Russians love the fact that their country is now capable of reacquiring old Soviet/Russian territories. Rational arguments, e.g. Пушки или Масло, don't make much difference yet.
Russians feel empowered, which is a novel experience for most of them. Although in the long run an average Russian stands to lose economically from the annexation of Crimea, to many that would still count as the proudest moment of their lives. Paradoxically, this kind of pride has no connection to one's own efforts.
