The Trump card

If I were a Democratic strategist I would work really hard to split the Republican vote, which means keeping Trump in the race, or at least in the news, for as long as possible.
It feels like in the end this campaign will be about who the candidate is not, rather than what views he or she represents. For example, Hillary's main message will be that she's not this idiot Trump; Trump's message will be that he's not part of the establishment; Rubio's message will be that he's neither Clinton nor Trump. At this point I believe that Trump will prove to be a spoiler for the Republican party, but it's hard to quantify the feeling yet.
