Because most people, especially recent immigrants and foreigners, know post-war America of the 1950s through Hollywood, they get an impression of special "cleanliness", civility and modesty of the era. These impressions are false; they are due to censorship, not social harmony.

Olympics and Category Theory

The IOC's ruling wrt Russian participation in Rio '16 would make a lot more sense if it were put in terms of the Category Theory, instead of legalese English. Furthermore, a category-based solution could show the difference between the "before" and "after" logical structures. Having category-style diagrams would allow for efficient, if not completely automated, legal decisions, free of corruption and misinterpretation.

A bi-partisan solution is near!

I believe Republicans and Democrats can work together to have a good president during the next term. Let's elect Hillary, then impeach her and get Tim Kaine to become the president. He seems to be a decent guy. Compared to all other candidates — Trump, Pense, Clinton, Sanders — Kaine would be the most centrist and trustworthy individual.
