The good news is that the 5/25/14 presidential elections in Ukraine went without major problems. The bad news is that Putin will continue his efforts to destabilize Ukraine, both economically and politically.

К примеру, ликвидировать все надзорные, контролирующие, инспектирующие органы. Кто-то скажет: "Подождите, ну как? Они же…" Что они? Сами себя кормят за счет взяток?
Если мы знаем, что они коррумпированные, то все их проверки – фуфло, и от того, что фуфла не будет, хуже не может быть. Может быть, они нужны в принципе, но сейчас это вопрос теоретического спора.
Сейчас их нету в реальности. Если у нас есть надпись "Инспекция чего-то там", мы же понимаем, что это надпись, а внутри там просто люди, которые зарабатывают бабло.

Despite Putin giving away Russia's natural resources to the Chinese, there will be no strategic alliance between China and Russia against the United States because:

“In general, Chinese have this American dream—they want to go public in the United States. It’s not as cool if you go public in China.”

И еще: если русские не могут договориться с украинцами, несмотря на общий язык, религию, и историю, то шансы договориться с китайцами еще меньше.

I just got an idea that the economic theory of tort law might explain the character of a nation, including Russia. Empirically, we can use the data from the survey about best and worst cities for visitors (Moscow being the worst and Tokyo the best).
