In a couple of months, I'm giving a talk to a bunch of French dudes about the impact of ai on business models in healthcare/wellness. Of course, I used ChatGPT to help me craft both the title and the abstract for the talk. What I noticed though, was not that the co-writer was necessarily better at writing the stuff [most of the generated text was meaningless, buzzword-compliant industry bs]; rather, it dramatically reduced my "fear of the blank page." That is, it was much easier than before to start on the writing task. Somehow, the existence of a far from perfect, but powerful tool inspired confidence in getting things done. This is contrary to Heidegger's concept of ready-to-hand (Zuhandenheit).
I haven't seen people discussing this aspect of human-GenAI interaction yet.

BTW, I'm donating my honorarium to Ukrainian causes, which makes me a terrorist and extremist in Russia. Fuck Russia.
