Wikileaks no longer works, so Trump is trying to use a US tabloid to launder another crapload of political "kompromat." Nice try, losers. I wonder if they planned to release the story right before the second presidential debate and derail any discussion of substantive issues. Well, there's no debate and a lot of people are already voting. Also, neither major social network wants a piece of these Giuliani conspiracy theories. They had enough of that.

Date: 2020-10-15 02:29 pm (UTC)John Cornyn is the former GOP whip and the first in line to replace McConnell as the Senate leader (provided he gets re-elected this year):
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell wants his deputy, Sen. John Cornyn, to stay in the Republican leadership ranks once terms limits force the Texan to give up the number two job at the end of the year.
Cornyn said Thursday he will stay and use that position to launch an eventual run for GOP leader, once McConnell leaves the post.

Date: 2020-10-17 11:10 am (UTC)President Trump: I’m treated very badly by the IRS. They treat me very, very badly. You have people in there from previous administrations that treat me very badly, but we’re under audit. It’s very routine, in many ways, but we’re under audit. They like to change the game, change the rules, do everything. You saw what they did with the tea party people. You saw what they did with the religious group.
Savannah: But to be clear, there is no law or rule that prohibits you from releasing your tax returns.
President Trump: No, except common sense, and intelligence, and having lawyers that say… Because I would love to release them, and as soon as we come to a conclusion, I will release them, and very gladly, but if you go to elections, and if you take a look, you’ll see 112, I think it’s 112, it talks about the income, which is rather massive. It talks about all of the properties. They have them listed. You can never learn more, but you know what happened? People went there. All the reporters went. There was a feeding frenzy. This was originally, when I filed it. And I filed it every year. I update it every year. My son is here. They run the company. I don’t run the company.
Savannah: It also says that you’ve paid $750 in taxes in the year you were elected. Is that true or not?
President Trump: Yeah, because that’s a statutory number. It’s a statutory.
Savannah: But is that true?
President Trump: I think it’s a filing number. You pay 750, it’s a filing or a filing fee.

But now we will have to watch an early Festivus celebration (the "airing of grievances") from the whole GOP, as soon as they are done making a lifetime Supreme court appointment.
“There is a seat waiting for Judge Barrett on the Court, and God-willing she will be voted out of committee and confirmed swiftly.”

"The Senate Judiciary Committee wants to know what the hell is going on. Chairman Lindsey Graham and I have discussed this at length, and the committee today will be noticing a markup on Tuesday to issue a subpoena to Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee next Friday. To come before this Committee and the American people and explain why Twitter is abusing their corporate power to silence the press and to cover up allegations of corruption.
Let me be clear: I don't know if these New York Post stories are true or not. Those are questions Vice President Biden should answer. But Twitter and Facebook and Big Tech billionaires don't get to censor political speech and actively interfere in the election."

Fucking clowns... Ted Cruz won his 2018 election with the help of AI in social networks.
In Texas, Beto O’Rourke’s campaign was trying a new app called Polis. But it was competing with Ted Cruz’s mature digital and field operations, run by Chris Wilson and WPAi in coordination with uCampaign and Cambridge Analytica. <...> ... in the Senate, the Republicans expanded their majority of fifty-one seats to fifty-three, versus the Democrats’ forty-five and two independents. Democrat Claire McCaskill went down in defeat in Missouri, as did Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota. Republican Rick Scott won a razor-thin victory over Bill Nelson in Florida. Chris Wilson claimed some credit, reporting: “For the fifth consecutive cycle, WPAi clients outperformed the partisan average in both their primary and general election contests by double digits.”

"Using a machine learning algorithm, WPAi’s data science team accurately modeled and predicted turnout in a high-profile Congressional election."
