Doctors prescribe prophylactic doses of blood thinner to patients when they first enter hospital, and higher quantities to more severely sick patients.

In Italy, hospitals are already using tocilizumab to suppress the overreaction of the immune system—known as a cytokine storm—in severely sick Covid-19 patients to prevent the need for mechanical ventilation. Although there is some evidence it may work, there still is no conclusive scientific proof of its benefits.

Пока ясно только, что, чем позже заболеешь, тем больше шансов вылечиться.

В начале марта я был почему-то уверен, что к концу лета сделают нормальное лекарство. Но ошибся. Боюсь, с вакциной будет такая же ерунда. Какой-то очень гадкий вирус.

вирусы вообще сложно лечить. именно чтоб избавляться от вирусрв, а не симптоматически.
вакцины это тоже дело не быстрое.

В этот раз вакцины сделают за рекордные сроки, по сравнению с типичными минимальными циклами разработки/испытаний в 3-4 года. Но их эффективность и безопасность будет questionable.

3-4 года (минимум) - это ж не на пустом месте, а как раз чтоб убедиться в безопасности и эффективноти.
