Apr. 27th, 2018 11:55 pmA couple of days ago I talked to a well-educated, well-travelled young Russian woman, a daughter of a successful businessman. She complained to me about American sanctions and said that because of the sanctions she couldn't buy parmesan cheese in Moscow. I said it was impossible because America doesn't export cheese to Russia. She replied that under American pressure the EU imposed their own sanctions, etc.
Maybe I shouldn't generalize, but given the recent election results, it seems like the new generation of successful Russians believes the propaganda even when the claims are absurd and can be easily disproved.
