It looks like Americans are going to pay for the wall with Mexico not once, but twice: first, as taxpayers because the US government would have to fund the project from its own budget; second, as consumers because we would have to pay more for imported or competing domestic products.
Trump spokesman Sean Spicer added a stunning new detail about the proposed wall project later Thursday, saying that Trump intended to pay for it by imposing a 20 percent tax on all imports from Mexico.
