While the Hellenes attempt to preserve the timing of the seasons by inserting an intercalary month every other year, the Egyptians divide the year into twelve months of thirty days each and add just five days each year beyond that number, and thus their seasons do return at the same periods in the cycle from year to year.”

Why Trump has to go.

America has a lot of long-term structural problems — energy, budget deficits, entitlements, military spending, infrastructure, jobs, demographics, trade, ethics, immigration — but we seem to be unable to even have a meaningful discussion about anything. Every day, the bullshitter-in-chief reduces our chances to get to a solution on any of those issues. His political and business instincts are fundamentally unsound outside of his own shit show. The sooner he goes, the better.
