This morning when I was doing my tai-chi in the park a beat-up Honda pulled into the parking lot. The driver sat in the car for a while, then got out, walked a couple of times around it, then got back in, rolled down the window to make a small opening and started smoking pot. First, I saw a little bit of smoke, then the smell of marijuana spread in all directions - it was quite windy.
So, I keep working on my form and forget about the guy. After a few minutes, the wind brings in another wave of smoke. I look back – the pothead has gotten out of the car and stands next to it, still smoking his joint. I'm thinking why doesn't he go somewhere in the park, sit nicely on the bench and, at least, enjoy the view. In the meantime, he makes a tentative step toward the trailhead, then hesitates, then gets back into the car, turns on the engine and drives away. WTF! The idiot decided to drive right after getting high on a fairly large joint. The whole thing gave me a bit of a pause. That was the first time I saw somebody doing such a stupid thing. Should I called the police? Hopefully, he didn't hurt himself or cause any accident.
Anyway, be careful out there.
