Just realized that the famous Serenity prayer:
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.
assumes that an "exit" strategy either not available or lumps it with the "voice" option in the courage clause. A dimension seems to be missing (see Niche Construction).
