Бутрин об инновациях в российской коррупции:

Упрощенно можно понимать дело Хорошавина как борьбу современной коррупции с коррупцией предыдущей генерации — устаревшей, проигрывающей неожиданную и неравную борьбу, где-то смешной, а где-то противной, но явно обреченной.

Вторая, нерассказанная половина этой правды в том, что сама по себе современная коррупция в России — более масштабное, более опасное для общества и намного более интересное для изучения явление. Собственно, из-за ее яркой специфики она с 2008–2009 годов достаточно легко продвигала в общество тезис о том, что относить ее к коррупции как таковой — несправедливо и нерационально. Современная российская коррупция видит себя в совсем другом качестве: сама для себя она — предпринимательство, бизнес.

Навальный и покойный Немцов больше всего говорили вслух об этой новой модели российской коррупции. Теперь Немцов убит; Навальный под арестом и в любой момент может оказаться в тюрьме. Бутрин благоразумно ограничивается намеками.
И чтоб два раза не вставать по поводу дел Навального и Немцова:

In retrospect, Lee Kuan Yew's most important social achievement was creation of an independent judiciary. Paradoxically, explicit authoritarian laws that ruled Singapore politics freed judges from political manipulation, allowing them to uphold the rule of law. For example, they didn't have to pass a false judgement on rigged elections because free elections were not allowed and there was no need to falsify them.
