2015 will be quite difficult for Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine has a competent government but the country is broke. On the other hand, Russia has money but her government is incompetent. The best thing that could happen to Ukraine in 2015 would be that the Khuilo leave it largely alone; then the Ukrainian government could deal with internal corruption without worrying too much about fighting Russia, both militarily and economically.
Low oil/gas prices should give Russia an incentive to stick to is energy supplier obligations before the EU throughout the winter months. If Ukraine manages to avoid disruptions of Russian energy flow to the west her standing among potential creditors will improve significantly. Basically, Ukraine has to cut government spending to the bone and just survive. I hope they can make it.
