В журнале ivanov_petrov идет обсуждение вопроса создания социальный идей в новейшей истории России:

В позднесоветском обществе действовали три идейно-политические силы, три мыслителя: А. Сахаров ("либеральный" проект), А. Солженицын ("почвеннический"), А. Зиновьев ("посткоммунистический")

....были ли какие-то еще творцы социальных идей. В России с 60-х годов, то есть тогда, когда и формировались идеи, с помощью которых изменялся социум с 90-х и по сю пору.

Там много кандидатов, но я заметил, что в отличие, например от американского общества, в кандидатах нет юристов, экономистов, журналистов, политиков и ученых-политологов. Мне трудно себе представить современную Америку без влияния Мартина Лютера Кинга (Martin Luther King, Jr), Милтона Фридмана (Milton Friedman), Бoба Уодвардa (Bob Woodward), Рональда Рейгана (Ronald Reagan), Ерла Уоррена (Earl Warren), Джон Роулс (John Rawls).

Особенно заметно отсутствие институтов создания интеллектуальной среды: Верховный Суд, независимые СМИ, университеты, церкви.

Я это не к тому, что хорошо или плохо; просто по-другому. В Китае тоже все иначе, но, например, фигура Дэн Сяопина на несколько голов выше всех остальных. Сингапуру с Ли Кван Ю в некотором смысле повезло, наверное, еще больше.

Конфликт с "братьями у ворот" открыл нам новое лицо вражды и новый язык вражды.
То есть, старый никуда не делся. По нашим блогам по-прежнему бегают кремлеботы и добровольные ватники, размахивая "бандеровцами", "фашистами", "Одесской Хатынью" и прочей хуетынью. Это не изменилось и никуда не делось. Более того, с тех пор, как это стало привычным фоном, мы перестали обращать внимание - белый шум есть белый шум, и половина тех, кто его производит, откровенно на работе.

Купил в мексиканском магазине (внезапно) дешевые авокадо. Естественно, авокадо оказались плохие. Потому что мексиканцы в авокадо разбираются лучше всех. Если они их дешево отдают, значит это неправильные авокадо.

Коррупция в гос органах и качество образования в России

We also found disturbingly large hidden earnings, most likely from corrupt sources, in all areas of government employment. A corrupt government and law enforcement not only lack credibility and moral authority to fight against tax evasion in the private economy; they also have incentives not to fight it seriously so as to increase the sources of their corrupt incomes. This problem will complicate Russia’s push to a more transparent economy for years to come.

But a potentially even more disturbing finding is that corruption seems to be at its worst in the state-run education system. In particular, concerned voices point out that the quality of education is deteriorating sharply. The large gap between the official and estimated earnings of educators that we found corroborates this view, albeit indirectly. The hidden economy is not just affecting Russia’s present generation but also is corrupting its future generations.

One of the startups I'm advising is taking off now. What a difference a year makes! Last August, the founder was totally desperate: no traction, no money, no customers, no investors, no nothing. This August, investors line up with the money, the team is growing, the services shows good traction – hope is in the air. Lots of problems, though. Rapid growth requires rapid learning, inclding from your own mistakes. Nevertheless, these are good problems to have.
