Should we consider Steve Jobs to be a genius CEO? I don't think so. Not once, but twice he let competition destroy Apple's huge initial advantage in an industry the company created. First time, it happened when IBM and Microsoft turned into a dominant force in the PC industry. Second time, Google and Samsung overtook Apple in the smartphone and software business. A genius CEO would not make the same lethal mistake twice.
Bill Gates and Gordon Moore were much better technology CEOs.
