Japan will allow a limited number of barbarians to visit the islands under strict supervision:

Foreign tourists visiting Japan will be required to wear masks, take out private medical insurance and be chaperoned throughout their stay, the government said on Tuesday, as it plans a gradual opening from two years of COVID-19 restrictions.

Only visitors on package tours will be allowed in during the first phase of reopening, from June 10, the Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) said, adding that travel agency guides accompanying visitors will have to ensure they wear their masks.

Вчера у Якова Ж. заморозили еще один пост в ЖЖ. У других тоже морозили по разным причинам, и сейчас уже можно представить себе, как выглядит война в информационном поле России (для Путина):

Российские войска в Украине
- не обстреливают мирные объекты;
- не насилуют и не убивают мирных жителей;
- не грабят;
- не несут военные потери солдат и техники (если несут, то в редчайших случаях, спасая товарищей и мирных жителей);
- не препятствуют гуманитарным конвоям;
- не применяют артиллерию и грады по площадям.

Из-за этого возникает сильный контраст с внешним миром. Мир видит окровавленного мясника вооруженного тупым топором и гоняющегося за соседями, а Россия представляет себя в роли искусного хирурга, спокойно и с достоинством спасающего больного. Говорить об ошибках хирурга запрещено законом.

upd. система работает на то, чтобы создать условия морального комфорта для большинства, которое естественно стремится к моральному комфорту.

It looks like there are two different types of human-animal transmutations in fairy tales: enabling and constraining. The first enables a human-animal hybrid to obtain the powers of both, e.g. a werewolf is clever like a man and is powerful like a wolf. Most of ancient Egyptian and Babylonian chimeras(gods) are of that type too. They are specifically designed to be masters of multiple realms.

The constraining type puts a human into an animal body or vice versa. Probably the best modern example would be Kafka's Gregor Samsa from the Metamorphosis. The Thousand Nights and a Night are full of these too. And so are Russian folk tales.
