The best thing about Bernie winning the nomination is that we'll find out how pervasive antisemitism is in the US. On the other hand, had Bloomberg won the nomination we would also have a fighting chance to beat Trump.
This song, as I understand it, is a song of/about Soviet-minded people who willingly and consiously agree to be fooled up and fucked up. Its protagonists are not just victims of lie, but accomplices of lie. Is it the case for today's Americans? I hope they have wider access to information and have the whole tradition of independent thinking, so they are not doomed to buy the lie. Maybe I am too optimistic about them?
