Should Apple bail out the FBI?

F.B.I. personnel apparently believed that by resetting the iCloud password, they could get access to information stored on the iPhone. Instead, the change had the opposite effect — locking them out and eliminating other means of getting in.

The clueless FBI hacks botched their data recovery operation. Now they are using courts to force a private company, Apple, to save their assess. No matter what happens in the court case, they should fire the head of the agency first.
