гражданин vs народ

two related concepts "народ" and "гражданин" are both subjective ontologically. that is, they are created by humans for humans. nevertheless, "гражданин" is objective epistemologically because a citizen's rights are defined by law and precedent. within the scope of a subjective ontology one can objectively establish whether someone's rights were violated. furthermore, the existence of an association of citizens can also be objectively established by using the law and precedent.

on the other hand, "народ" is epistemologically subjective because "народ"s rights are not defined. in logical terms it is a second-level concept, similar to a quantifier; it asserts, but doesn't refer.
