A non-intuitive thought of the day

the Bar-Hillel–Carnap Paradox, according to which
a self-contradictory sentence, hence one which no ideal receiver would accept, is regarded
as carrying with it the most inclusive information. (Bar-Hillel and Carnap (1953), p. 229)

Since contradictions are most unlikely, to the point of having zero probability, they are very informative; indeed they are the most informative propositions. (Floridini, 2012. p 100)

У философа Смирнова в работе об инаковости арабской и европейской культуры есть похожая мысль, но она как-то по-другому выражена; надо бы перечитать.
