I think the new large iPhone is going to be popular in Asia. First, they value and love brands. Apple iPhone is a premier brand that Asians, especially, the Chinese prefer over their local copycat phones. Second, they love sending strong signals with their brand-name items prominently displayed. Even on polo t-shirts brand logos are printed much larger than on their US versions.
A large 5.5-inch iPhone 6 is both a strong brand and it sends a strong message. Apple will continue their domination of the Asian premium market. I'll probably get one myself too :)
