I'm not sure this is the main question, though. For all intents and purposes, someone like Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos is a superintelligent being who commands thousands of natural intellects to serve his purposes. Does he care about my existence? I doubt it. Do I feel like a Bezos' pet dog? I wish :)

But can you imagine a society where the vast majority of children are born severely autistic?
