A thought experiment with 4th of July tanks
A modern Abrams tank costs roughly $10M. Imagine if every Independence Day we ran a national debt parade representing its current total of $22T with tanks. Let's say, we put five tanks in a row and let 30 feet safety distance between them. Such a column would involve two million and two hundred thousand tanks stretched over 2.5 thousand miles, from Washington, DC to Sacramento, CA.
That would be impressive!
